Shirley Hurdle – Human Resources
Shirley has been a Human Resource specialist in both the private and public sectors for 20 years, working in such diverse organisations as Center Parcs, fire and rescue services, the police, Ministry of Defence and the Atomic Weapons Establishment.
Shirley also has experience in the management of training in organisations and was responsible for the setting up and management of an Assessment and Development Centre (ADC) which has become the model for best practice throughout the UK fire and rescue services. She continues to manage or participate in ADC’s in over a dozen UK fire and rescue services.
Shirley is regularly called upon by organisations to review existing policies, make recommendations for improvement or to implement new initiatives from inception. Shirley has an extensive knowledge of both the the law, and best practice, relating to HR in both public and private sector and in industry specific sectors.
